Bekaert is continuously investing in new technologies that advance the customers’ competitive edge. One of the latest accomplishments is SiroLock® doffer and worker wire for nonwoven and long staple roller cards. This revolutionary new card wire is designed with a unique step that will significantly enhance both your web quality and productivity of your cards.
SiroLock® performs best on workers and doffers on the breast section of the main cylinder of the card. There it can take up to 50% more fibres compared to any conventional card wire. This causes less recycling of fibres leading to less cleaning stops. In addition, the improved fibre control reduces fly, which helps decreasing the cost of the raw materials and leads to a more regular web. As SiroLock® wire also creates higher carding spaces; it allows wider settings and better blending.
Flexible processing of various fibres and blends: First industrial results with SiroLock® in the nonwoven industry have already shown very positive improvements in both quality and productivity in direct way and in crosslapped carded nonwoven webs. This is because SiroLock® can be use to process a wide variety of fibres even special blends like hollow fibres, siliconised fibres, aramid fibres (para- or meta-aramid), high percentage of melt fibres and a broad range of fibre densities (dtex).
