When it comes to leading-edge processing technology for yarn infeeding, control systems and lubrication technology for knitting machines, Memminger-IRO is the market leader. With more than 50 years of experience in this sector, the company is now perceived as a trendsetter.
Its products find application in: Circular knitting machines, seamless machines, hosiery machines, flat knitting machines, warp knitting machines and coating.
Absolute thread controls: The self-teach MIS provides continuous monitoring of all the yarn threads on knitting machines. The MIS is suitable for all yarns types. A special clip systems make it easy to fit individual sensors on the yarn path. Sensors are programmed individually from the controller.
Advantages are:
- Before the knitting cycle begins, the sensor checks that all the yarn threads necessary are present. If the required yarn is not present, the knitting cycle will not start.
- Monitoring of stationary and running yarn.
- The sensors have very fast reaction times and can therefore be used to monitor small patterns, too. This means that control rows of the type usually employed on hosiery are no longer necessary.
- The sensors will stop the knitting cycle immediately in the event of a process fault.
MIS Components
Body with clip fitting: The body is designed so that the sensors simply clip in. Tensioner’s eyelets are clipped to the body in the same way. They have slide-on, snap fitting. The body can been mounted in three different positions (at, 15 and 30) to ensure an optimum yarn feed.
Sensor: The sensor operates on the reflection principle. It consists of a transmitter, a receiver and an LED indicating sensor status.
Connection box: The connection box connects the sensors system to the knitting machine. LEDs on the connections box indicate the current status of the united (Fault, Self-teach in progress). A push-button on the box is used to start simple function (start self-teach, Delete faults).
MIS Controller: This is used to enter all the sensor operating parameters. The MIS controller also acts as a control units.
