IMB Select notches up first major exhibitors

From 9th to 10th November 2010, the IMB Select will be gearing up for the future with a totally new approach. Information, communication, knowledge transfer, networking, global collaboration and plenty of fresh impetus from and for the supply chain promise added value and orientation for visitors and exhibitors alike. “The new concept has convinced people; We have very high expectations of the event,” says Udo Traeger, vice-president Furniture, Interior Design & Textiles.

All in all, 40 companies have already decided to take part in the IMB Select – including major players such as Gerber Technology, Intex EDV-Software, Lectra Deutschland, Avery Dennison Central Europe, RF-IT Solutions, Bütema AG, höltl Retail Solutions GmbH, TXTe-solutions GmbH, PTC Parametric Technology GmbH, SIC Software Industry Consult and Wincor Nixdorf International.

The IMB Select 2010 gives providers and visitors a platform for presenting and discussing new and further developments in process control and data exchange along the value chain. “Despite the difficult economic conditions right now, we are very optimistic about the future and, based on the talks we’ve been having, expect the number of exhibitors to reach the same level as the predecessor event, the IMB Forum 2007,” said Traeger, vice-president Furniture, Interior Design & Textiles at Koelnmesse.

In terms of both concept and hall layout, the IMB Select also showcases peripheral and parallel processes along the supply chain and takes account of the short development cycles in this sector. With the IMB Select 2010 and the IMB 2012, Koelnmesse GmbH is confirming its function as a hub and marketplace in the heart of Europe for the handling and processing of textile and flexible materials in global business.
