ITAMMA organises 21st product-cum-catalogue show
Presently the Indian textile engineering industry is fulfilling only 45-50 per cent requirement of the domestic market of Rs 15,000 crore, while exports about Rs 6,500 crore worth textile machines and accessories. It has targeted to reach to Rs 25,000 crore by 2025.
ITAMMA celebrates 75th anniversary
It all started in 1988 when BK Mehta, Past-President, Indian Textile Accessories And Machinery Manufacture Association (ITAMMA), categorically suggested that ITAMMA should take up activities which will make its members and the organisation very strong in terms of system, technology and R&D. Considering his passion for R&D, as the members of Managing Committee of ITAMMA on his 70th birthday in 1988 established “BK Mehta Endowment Fund” in appreciation of his yeomen and meritorious services to the association; who was the president of the association in the year 1953, 1962, 1966, 1978 and also as a trustee for four decades. This fund was further strengthened financially from time to time for various activities in the field of technology.
Textile industry to reach $2.1 trillion by 2025: ITAMMA President
The Indian Textile Accessories and Machinery Manufacturers Association (ITAMMA), which participated at the recently-concluded Texfair 2017 in Coimbatore, talked about working towards its vision “to make India the hub of textile accessories and machinery by 2020,” and accordingly under mission plan ITAMMA is taking efforts to innovate and improve the technological capability of its member companies through various schemes and initiatives.
Exim issues post-GST clarified at ITAMMA meet
With the onset of GST regime, there have been a lot of concerns amongst the member-exporters regarding LUT/ BOND/ Bank Guarantee, refunds, fate of export promotion schemes etc. To address the concerns of the exporters, the Indian Textile Accessories And Machinery Manufacture Association (ITAMMA), organised the seminar on imports and exports.

In its 11th edition, Texfair 2017, organised by the Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA), provided a platform for the stakeholder to zero in their investments and expenses prudently, showcase their inventions and cost effective items and other products, enable the technocrats and shopfloor technicians to update their knowledge on the latest technology and create an awareness on cost cutting, to encourage micro, small and medium entrepreneurs also to showcase their products and get exposure to the market. Texfair 2017 was held from November 17-20, 2017 at Codissia Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore.
Mayank J Roy elected President of ITAMMA
Mayank Jayantilal Roy, Managing Director of Excel Industrial Gears Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, has been elected the President of the Indian Textile Accessories & Machinery Manufacturers´ Association (ITAMMA) for 2015-2016. He has been a member of and serving in Managing Committee of ITAMMA for more than a decade.
ITAMMA´s Cluster Development Initiative
1st January, 2015 was indeed a new beginning for ITAMMA members at Ahmedabad. On this auspicious day, ITAMMA initiated the formation of ITAMMA Lean Manufacturing Forum Group´II, by signing off the Tripartite Agreement along with National Productivity Council and AddValue Consulting Inc (AVCI).
S Senthilkumar elected new president of ITAMMA
The Indian Textile Accessories & Machinery Manufacturers Association (ITAMMA) has appointed a slew of office bearers for 2014-15. S Senthilkumar, Managing Director of Simta Machinery Pvt Ltd and Indo Germen Joint Venture, has been appointed as a president of ITAMMA.
