Promatech to showcase improved looms
Promatech, a member of the ITEMA GROUP, supports the world weaving industry by offering businesses investing in its technology certain results. Impeccable customer service and a new, revised product range offering guaranteed performance, total reliability, easy fabric production and quality assurance are the key to a sure return on investment.

The results of Promatech's constant, in-depth technological evolution will be on show in Munich: the secret behind the success of Somet and Vamatex weaving machines, now the benchmark for all sectors of the weaving industry. Excellence that will be confirmed by several Italian weaving firms, who, sharing the same Italian passion in weaving, have helped spread Italian fashion around the globe.

The changes and improvements to Promatech's looms have consolidated and enhanced the already brilliant characteristics of versatility (Somet Alpha PGA), superior performance (Vamatex Silver HS and Silver Dynaterry) and quality plus low cost (Somet Mythos E-Tec air-jet).

Somet ALPHA PGA rapier looms

The extraordinary ability of the Somet Alpha PGA loom to weave an amazingly vast range of yarns is thanks to the renewed PGA insertion system (Positive Gripper Approach). The loom on show will be equipped for the production of a haute couture style: efficiency, great creativity and easy use. This loom can weave very easily the widest range of filling yarns.

The robustness and strength of ALPHA PGA will be demonstrated by two Jacquard versions: One in the STAUBLI booth, producing a furnishing material at high speed (more than 1400 metres/minute) fitted with a 9600 hook Jacquard; the other in the STARTES booth, with an unprecedented construction that is bound to arouse great interest.

Vamatex Silver rapier looms

The Silver HS rapier loom now features a new evolution of "Mechanotronics", thus proving to be the only rapier machine offering the highest performance in the world today. The Promatech booth will have a 1900 mm loom running at over 750 picks/minute and producing high quality shirting fabrics. Careful balancing of the moving masses has made it possible to further exploit the potential of the unrivalled Propeller, the mechanical heart of this loom, thus consolidating its reputation for guaranteed success and quality.

The Jacquard version, to be seen in the BONAS booth, confirms the great output capacity of the Silver HS, while the FTS version without tape guide hooks in the LGL booth will surprise visitors with its amazing combination of versatility and high productivity. The Vamatex Silver Dynaterry (terry cloth) is currently enjoying great success around the world, thanks to its ingenious design: a combination of mechanical improvements and applications of new electronic warp tension control solutions. The loom on show will demonstrate its full potential, as it produces high quality, designer towels with a wide range of different borders and textures (loop height and compactness).

Somet Mythos E-Tec air-jet looms.

Its ability to produce top quality fabric while keeping production costs low is what the market likes most about the Mythos E-Tec. This characteristic has been further consolidated by some important new design elements: fluid dynamics, automation and electronic control of the insertion system. There will be on show a 3400 mm version of the Somet Myhtos E-Tec air-jet loom, set up to produce fine sheeting fabric. And at a speed of more than 2300 metres of weft inserted per minute, with up to 15% less consumption: results guaranteeing that the Mythos E-Tec has a sure competitive edge. Hall B5, Stand 107/202

Bad Times Call for Tough Moves

Despite the crises gripping the world economy in all kinds of forms, the Indian Government has been reassuring the industry that the country will not be affected. This brings hardly any relief to the industry in general.
