At ITMA 2007, Xetma Vollenweider will be presenting, over an area of 200 mē, an overview of its range of products and services in the field of surface finishing systems for textiles. This includes products in the technology lines of Soft Touch (brushing and emerising), Plush Touch (raising), Even Touch (shearing), Level Touch (carpet shearing) and Clean Touch (cloth cleaning).
In particular, the ever-increasing demand for added-value technologies in the area of Soft Touch has caused Xetma Vollenweider to present, at ITMA 2007, a new machine system which is set to be a pioneer in the market. Alongside the standard technologies which have been state-of-the-art for years in the market, Xetma Vollenweider is also presenting the newly developed High Touch System. This is setting new standards in textile finishing, both in terms of production performance and also as regards the quality of the surface effects.
For example, the combination of brushing and emerising (XEB) in one-work stages creates Soft Touch effects with an incomparably high density and a tangibly softer feel - called the "Rose Petal Touch". In addition, using this combined technology, in which brushing and emerising rollers are used alternately, means that much higher production speeds can be achieved than with single-line technologies as found in other machine systems available in the market.
An increase in productivity can also be achieved by combining the technologies of raising and emerising (XRE) in one process. This "Moss Touch" that this creates is attractive because of the high volume of the very short, dense pile. In the area of Even Touch, the Xetma Vollenweider brand is able to look back on more than 120 years of experience and is by far the longest-standing manufacturer of shearing machines.
And Xetma Vollenweider has always been one step ahead of market demands. In addition to providing maximum shearing precision, Xetma Vollenweider's shearing systems offer greater cutter durability than any other supplier.
At ITMA 2007, Xetma Vollenweider is presenting a pile preparation and shearing system with the motto "Swiss Technology - Made in Germany". In this area too, the German-Swiss company gives the highest priority to achieving the maximum possible production speeds and producing shearing results of above-average quality.
A third highlight is the newly developed Optiplush XT. This is Xetma Vollenweider's response to the special equipment requirements laid down by manufacturers of velvets and plush fabrics and long-pile articles. The advantage of this modular system is that several processes can be integrated into one vary compact system.
