Arioli Steamer VAPO-2003

Arioli Steamer VAPO-2003 is the updated and technologically advanced version of Steam Agers from Arioli, Italy. The machine is meant for fixation of dyestuffs on cloth between 102°C and 106°C in saturated steam and between 165°C and 180°C in HT steam and in hot air between 130°C and 180°C (polymerisation). It can be used for steaming of fabrics such as -- cotton, polyester, polyester-cotton blend, silk, polyamide, wool, polyester wool and polyester viscose -- both of woven and knitted construction - with different styles, viz - direct or discharge printing. Thus the machine is very versatile in its application for the textile printer and has been used extensively by all the leading print houses worldwide.

The steaming chamber is closed type, made completely in stainless steel AISI 430, ie, stabilised special chromium stainless steel, which is highly resistant to chemical corrosion and high thermal stress. There is no need of coating internal walls with high temperature resistant grease. Machine walls are more than 4 mm thick

All motors are AC with Inverter control. Mechanical parameters are under latest generation PLC with 'touch screen' with possibility of memorising every working recipe and recalling the same when required.

The humidity of the steam and its constancy are basic elements for good development of dyestuffs and reduction of chemical auxiliaries. For this purpose Arioli's Steamers are equipped with special devices, which condition the steam passing through the water before being injected in to the Steaming Chamber. A special set of moisturising nozzles are placed before the fans to inject high pressure water in the occurrence of exothermic reaction from dyestuff or fabric. This water injection is automatic and controlled by microprocessor. This steam conditioning and moisturising devices make this machine "unique" of its kind.

Arioli guarantees that air inside the chamber is not more than 0.01%. This is a very important condition for working with VAT (Indanthrene) discharge.

Arioli has developed a special steam injection duct which concentrate 70% of the pre-humidified saturated steam flow in the first part of the steamer as exothermic reaction during dyestuff fixation takes place in first 5-6 loops. Advantages of this system are: Steam consumption is reduced by 30%, requirement of urea in print paste is reduced by 30-40% and reduction of treatment time.

The roof and the inlet, outlet hoods are heated by steam coils in order to avoid steam condensation and also formation of drops. The steam temperature inside these coils is always 4-5°C more than the inside chamber temperature. Every chamber section has its own temperature sensor.

The openings in front and on back side for fabric feeding and extraction allow circulation and extraction of exhaust steam without condensation and prevent air entering the chamber. The steam inside chamber is uniformly distributed by circulating fans to maintain uniform temperature.

New Loop Formation System: The concept of new redesigned system is based on a special alloy profiled cam plate, which manages the rotation of stick pulley crank over it. The sticks receive a particularly smooth movement, which facilitates the loop formation. Sticks are firmly linked to two continuous chains for trouble free fabric transportation through the steaming chamber.

Loop carrying sticks are fitted with 5 silicon rubber stripes. Hence better holding/anti-slip property and longer life. It is very rare to have a sliding loop. The sticks holding the loops are fixed to the chain. Hence no problem of stick falling, time waste and ruined fabrics.

Pre-Humidifiers: Special pre-humidifying devices operating with steam, to reduce the urea quantity and increase the natural fibre yield are available as optional items. The special steam-spraying bar at the inlet helps loop formation and elimination of electrostatic charges. Automatic chain lubrication and all the daily maintenance can be done by outside the machine.

For Arioli Steamer making is its main business. Hence almost every 6 months it upgrades its machines. Arioli's share is about 70% of the world market, and it has been selling about 40-45 steamers a year.

Bad Times Call for Tough Moves

Despite the crises gripping the world economy in all kinds of forms, the Indian Government has been reassuring the industry that the country will not be affected. This brings hardly any relief to the industry in general.
