Exolloys to display HTHP softflow dyeing machine

Exolloys Engineering Pvt Ltd, located at MIDC Bhosari in Pune is engaged in since 1995 manufacturing and supply of textile equipment such as dyeing machines, colour soft LLR fabric dyeing machines, colour jigs and colour soft HTHP soft flow fabric dyeing machines.

Exolloys claims to have as its invention one of the first high quality indigenous HTHP Soft Flow Dyeing Machine. Apart from quality machines it also provides efficient installation services to its clients. It has a full-fledged fabrication set-up located in heart of industrial belt at Pune. The premises are about 11,000 sq ft, which is equipped with adequate infrastructure. Exolloys has a vast clientele spread all over India and abroad.

Mr Shailendra Mishra, director of Exolloys replied to a questionnaire from The Indian Textile Journal. Excerpts:

ITJ: Please tell us about your company, particularly its performance in the last 2 years.

SM: Exolloys Engineering Pvt Ltd, located at MIDC Bhosari in Pune has been manufacturing soft flow fabric dyeing machine, yarn dyeing machine and relax (tensionless) conveyor dryer. We have over 450 Installations for softflow dyeing machines in India and overseas. We are introducing yarn dyeing machine in a couple of months. The approximate revenue in last 2 years has been: 2005-06 - Rs 7 crore, and in 2006-07 - Rs 15.5 crore. In terms of installation, in 2005-06, it is 67 numbers and in 2006-07, it is 152 numbers.

ITJ: Has there been any new machinery introduced recently? If so, give some details about its technology and relevance?

SM: We have added a few machines to our existing profile. They are conceptually not new but we have started venturing into the product with 'manufacturing & engineering flavour' of Exolloys. We have already introduced Relax dryers for knits and we are introducing yarn dyeing machine in 2 months.

ITJ: Please explain with some details your participation at ITMA Munich, with special reference to the showcase you have planned there.

SM: Our Stall Number is B1 - 100. We are displaying HTHP soft flow fabric dyeing machine, with a capacity of 100 kg. It is also fully automated.

ITJ: How will you rate your performance in the domestic as well as export markets in the last 5 years. Give some details of the new markets/countries you have opened for your products.

SM: We are doing very well in domestic market. The figures for dyeing machine should give you an idea of how many machines we sell it in the local market. In my opinion, we are probably making the largest number of soft flow machines in India for knits dyeing.

As far as export is concerned, we are promoting aggressively in Bangladesh and are getting regular orders. For records, we have also exported to Uzbekistan, Egypt, and Ecuador.

ITJ: How do you see the Indian textile industry's progress in the global market and what role will your company be playing in future developments?

SM: We are committed to giving full support to the textile market with newer products especially for its reliability, price and customer support. One major hurdle Indian manufacturers face is for the 'aesthetics' of the machine. If the looks are not impressive, customers or more so the competitors label it as 'poor quality'. To counter this we have set up a huge glass bead finishing unit in-house to give so called 'European finish' to the machine. The major advantage with us is the price competitiveness and the after-sales support, where no one can beat us in the domestic market.

Indian textile industry should grow at normal pace. I do not foresee any dramatic jump in sales in near future. May be, if all things like dollar value, drawbacks, shipping time (or rather clearing time) go in the industry's favour, things may improve.

Bad Times Call for Tough Moves

Despite the crises gripping the world economy in all kinds of forms, the Indian Government has been reassuring the industry that the country will not be affected. This brings hardly any relief to the industry in general.
