WELKER's innovative conditioning system

The CONDIBOX COOLVAP is a new development of WELKER and the first machine in the market with significant changes in conditioning machine design. This brand new system will be shown for first time on forthcoming ITMA and has 3 main innovative elements:

o COOLVAP active cooling inside the machine.
o ECOTHERM energy saving inner insulation.
o SMART STOP energy saving process control.

The COOLVAP (new patent) initiates the cooling process inside the machine by application of nano-particles of moisture, creating an adiabatic environment. By this method, the heated up bobbins are cooled inside the machine, avoiding evaporation losses and increasing substantially the benefit for the yarn manufacturer.

Efficiency of the machine is raised by up to 25-50%, depending of the case. The ECOTHERM insulation (new patent) is a special cladding made of composite material inside the machine, to prevent the loss of energy during change of batches. With this feature, the energy accumulated in the machine is kept inside, reducing the need of energy to heat up the machine in the next batch.

SMART STOP is a sensor driven control that checks the process evolution and stops the process when the machine is in thermical balance. By this feature, excess of energy is avoided and the machine is always working on its optimised energy/moisture balance. The energy saving is substantial.

WELKER was founded in 1856. In 1941, the first and innovative vacuum steaming equipment was developed and successfully introduced to the market. Since then, WELKER became the most specialised company in the Textile Industry in the vacuum technology. Today, WELKER enjoys worldwide reputation as manufacturer of reliable, safe, extremely robust and innovative machines. WELKER machines are manufactured in Germany.

The machine programme comprises:
o CONDIMAT and CONDIBOX for the conditioning of yarns and fabrics.
o VAPOMAT for heat setting of yarns.
o TOWMASTER for tow pre- shrinking of man made fibres.
o CONDIMAT G for moisturising of glass fibre yarns.
o STERIMASTER for sterilising of textile fabrics.

There is a co-operation with Messrs. SIEGER SPINTECH LTD from Coimbatore, India. SIEGER & WELKER products are produced in India for supply into Asian markets.
