First 4-in-1 warp tying machine from Knotex

For the last 56 years, Knotex Maschinenbau GmbH has an unbroken record as an exhibitor at every ITMA trade fair. At the ITMA 2007 in Munich, Knotex will be present again as leading manufacturer of warp tying installations and semi-automatic drawing-in systems with a completely new product generation made in Germany.

In Hall B4, Booth 241, the following innovations will be demonstrated:

o Double end detector for warps without a lease (NEW): Knotex presents the first tying machine with a four-in-one unit for all tying methods that is equipped with a doubles indicator for tying warps both with and without a lease. Whereas the doubles control when tying warps from a lease has been standard equipment at Knotex for many years, this new development is for warps without a lease. The prerequisites for detection are high-precision pressure sensors. They measure the thread tension during tying up to 10 times a second (attached picture 1 shows the heart of the new double end control, the pressure sensor).

o Electronic lease detection system (NEW): With this innovation from Knotex the warp tying machine detects automatically whether the warp to by tied-in has a lease or not and thus starts the optimum doubles control program for the application in hand.

o

AUTOFRAME^® up to 320 cm (NEW): The automatic warp tying installation is reality! It is now only necessary to enter the material being tied. Everything else is taken care of by the Knotex AUTOFRAME^®. Time-consuming manual pretensioning and tension adjustments are no longer necessary. High-precision sensors ensure optimum thread tension. A reliable microprocessor controller controls the servo motors needed to increase and reduce the warp tension. The fully automatic concept means that the operating personnel can turn their attention to other tasks. The Knotex AUTOFRAME^® is available in sizes up to 320 cm.

o BASIC S - the new sprinter class (NEW): BASIC S (S like speed) is the new warp tying machine especially for weaving machines which process exclusively monocoloured warps of cotton, wool, linen or blends. The machine is already pre-set to optimally suit these warp qualities. This means that the full performance of up to 600 knots/min is available right from the word go. The typical Knotex reliability and the extremely short tying times are excellent arguments in favour of the new Knotex BASIC S. It is very reasonable in price and low in maintenance.

o Further novelties: Reeding machine with compressed air feature, new and optimised yarn break detector, new and more efficient control units for warp tying machines and drawing-in systems.
