Arioli's 'UNIWASH' tensionless washing range

Arioli is manufacturing open width continuous washing machines since 35 years. From its geographical location, near to Como, has always put a lot of emphasis on the tensionless cloth transportation, because of the high quality delicate fabrics always manufactured in that area. Arioli has made its experience by washing printed fabric, then going to after dyeing, scouring and desizing treatments.

Washing out the print paste was and still is the most difficult treatment and Arioli washing line always achieved it with success. For this reason in the last ten years Arioli's washing line started to have a relevant success in the fabric preparation and also in the wool scouring.

Arioli has developed a new concept in open width washing: the water blade system, consisting of a specially shaped tube with continuous slots from which water comes in form of blade and hitting onto the full width of the fabric. The Arioli UNIWASH system is based on this exclusive washing system called "Acquajet water blade" and a very efficient and tensionless fabric transportation. Each tank is equipped with two perforated driven drums controlled by their inverter, a recirculation pump allowing water to hit the fabric through the 4 water blades with 2,00,000 litres/hour.

At the end of each tank there is one 8 tons squeezing mangle. Each single blade has flow rates of 50,000 litres/hour. Two are hitting the right face and two the back face. Since water blades have a so high flow rate it is easy to understand that with the Arioli washer it is possible to obtain an excellent washing effect deep inside the fabric either from chemical point of view (removal of unfixed dyestuffs, preparation products etc) or from physical point of view (elimination of lints, unfixed piles, dust etc), with the lowest fresh water consumption.

The new UNIWASH has the following characteristics :

· High pressure water blades.

ARIOLI washing machines are the only ones equipped with the exclusive patented AQUAJET system with four water blades. The system consists of 4 specially shaped ducts in every tank, each one equipped with a slit originating a blade shaped water jet hitting perpendicularly and uniformly the full fabric width.

The large quantity of re-circulated water (through re-circulation pump) coming in blade form has a strong hydro-mechanical effect and the impact is such that weaving and spinning oils, waxes, natural/artificial thickeners and unfixed dyestuffs, etc are removed efficiently from fabrics with reduced energy and water consumption.

· Washing on both faces of the fabric.

· Units with two large drums.

The passage on two drums permits to treat easily the delicate fabrics, Lycra and the curling knits. The drums are with perforations having the purpose to let the water pass through the fabric to obtain a real breaking effect of the dyestuffs and thickeners.

· Light dancing bar / Load cells: This is very important when washing knit goods.

· High Pressure Mangles: Plays an important role in washing-off of thickeners and other impurities.

· Protected fabric passage from tank to tank: This does not allow the fabric cooling.

· Relaxing and Storing Conveyor.

The unit of 150/300 metres of capacity allows an increase in the time of immersion in the bath in order to obtain complete relaxation, shrinkage, elasticity increment of the fabric and swelling of fibres. It also provides for an efficient removal of thickeners and weaving oils during the scouring process.

· The temperature in all units is controlled by Automatic Regulating Valves.

· Very low maintenance because water blades do not clog easily and very easy to clean as compared to spray nozzles.

· All motors are AC with invertor.

· Latest generation PLC used for working programme memorisation and mechanical parameters control.

· Complete automation of washing process by supplying dosing pumps, water stations, flow meters, pH meters etc.

UNIWASH Tensionless Washing Range has multipurpose application in the following fields: Preparation of knitted and woven fabrics; Scouring of jersey and wool; Desizing of synthetic knits; Wash-off after printing; Boil off after dyeing; Relaxation of elastic fabrics.

ARIOLI have 50 years of experience in manufacturing fabric processing machines and are world leaders with more than 2000 plants installed in more than 120 countries.

Bad Times Call for Tough Moves

Despite the crises gripping the world economy in all kinds of forms, the Indian Government has been reassuring the industry that the country will not be affected. This brings hardly any relief to the industry in general.
