  15th INDA Nonwovens training workshop a success

The 15th INDA Nonwovens training workshop in India ended with great success at The Residency hotel in Coimbatore recently. The USA-based Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry - INDA has been in the forefront for over four decades to promote the Nonwoven business worldwide. INDA and Bangalore based TecniTex Nonwovens Pvt Ltd, signed an MOU in 2008 to offer the world renowned INDA Nonwovens Training Workshop in India. TecniTex has the exclusive right to offer INDA Nonwovens training workshops in India and other neighboring countries.

TecniTex Nonwovens apart from making Nonwoven machinery is also in the business of promoting Nonwovens & Technical Textiles ever since its inception in 2007.The Coimbatore event was inaugurated by Mr D Ravikumar, assistant airector of Regional of the Textile Commissioner, Coimbatore. During his inaugural address, Mr Ravikumar talked about the Indian Technical Textiles scenario with supply & demand position for products under the twelve end-user segments of technical textiles. Market Statistics and government schemes for new technical textiles ventures were discussed.

Mr Sudarsan, director of Splendour Medicare Products during his guest lecture spoke on various medical textile products and advised on the various steps and cautions to be exercised by the new investors while venturing into technical textile business. Mr A Thayumanavan, general manager, Polymer Division of Reliance Industries presented a paper on the emerging opportunities of PP spun bonded fabrics.

Mr Mallyah Marimuthu, executive director of TecniTex Nonwovens carried on with the technical sessions for the two days with lucid audio & video presentations and unique nonwovens samples. The next INDA Nonwovens program will be held in Mumbai during April 2012. Also TecniTex will organise a conference cum trade fair - CONVERTEX 2012 in Mumbai during Jun 2012 exclusively for the nonwovens converting business like bag making, sanitary napkin, diaper, underpad and adult incontinence products manufacturing
