Industrial yarn: RITM reinforces its leading position

On its booth, RITM will present one of the most complete ranges for textile machinery. Today’s production of textile and industrial yarns is a challenge requiring flexibility, creativity and market knowledge. With 100 years experience in yarn machinery, RITM (previously known under the brands Verdol, ICBT and Rieter FYT) is a major player in the field of textile machinery.

Texturing, Twisting, Covering, Rewinding, Assembling… RITM has got always the perfect solution! RITM offers today the most complete range of twisting and covering machinery on the market for all continuous made-man yarns.

Since the launching of the UT 50 machine, well appreciated for its flexibility and for the quality of yarn and package produced, RITM sets a reference for two-for-one twisting machines for industrial yarns.

Listening to the market demands, the machine range is continuously extended to offer the best product answering to all customers’ needs:

During last ITMA 2007 in Munich RITM showed the UTC60 machine, bringing again more flexibility with the direct cabling equipments.

For Techtextil North America 2008, RITM showed a combined process to produce cords and ropes up to 4mm in a one step process. The UT 50 machine was connected to a Twister Winder GS 2000 from the well-known rope machine manufacturer SIMA, from Italy.

Now a 900 mm spindle gauge machine is proposed for twisting heavier yarns. The UT 50 with its current 733 mm gauge will be available now in 900 mm gauge as well, which will increase the yarn count range up to 60,000 dtex.

Glass Yarns: Worldwide reputation

RITM reacts to its customer’s demands by offering its products everywhere and supplying permanently the machines that best fits the customer’s needs. RITM is always in search of new ways to increase its equipment performances. INDIA-ITME will be the occasion to show off its latest improvements, such as: New motorised spindles; Improved doffing time; Reduced chain yarn breaks and yarn external pollution; “Quick UNIX” operating system.

With its experience built over decades and orders to be delivered in China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Eastern and Western Europe, USA and Brazil, RITM remains the major partner of the tire cord manufacturers all over the world. The open pot technology, allowing tremendous labour cost reduction, gives all our direct cabling machines unrivalled ergonomic and keeps RITM one-step ahead.

The successes of the RITM CP machines show, year after year, its complete suitability with the market needs, not only in term of yarn quality and energy consumption, but also in term of environmental impact of the machines themselves. That is why all our CP machines are equipped as a standard with heat extraction system fully integrated in the machine frame allowing reduction on air conditioning cost and consequently finished yarn cost.

With the latest technology used to optimise the Human Machine Interface, the CP 06 is also equipped with a friendly self-explanatory touch screen allowing the use of most of the characters in the world, such as Chinese characters for example. The CP 10 machine with its individual inverter per spindle is definitively the best assurance of the speed stability and accuracy and, in association with the inertia wheel concept, allows adjusting decelerating ramps in order to optimise the yarn quality even during power failure.

The conversion of carpet fibres is today becoming very versatile, new yarn types are engineered and the integrated customers or converters need flexible and performing production equipment.

RITM has more than 30 years of experience in carpet yarns and is major player supplying machinery in the field of twisting and cabling of synthetic filaments and spun yarns.

RITM will present at INDIA-ITME the most complete product ranges of textile machinery on the carpet market namely:

CDDT 10 – Leader on Turkish and USA markets:

Basic, robust and standard design with inverters on main spindle motors; Reliable spindle transmission with belts, with low maintenance cost; Fully suitable with new trends such as shaggy and super shaggy; Lowest power consumption on the market.

CDDT 20 – Productivity at the highest level:

Available with standard mechanical spindles and with spindle speed monitoring, individual metering, sliding doors, pneumatic creel (optional); Touch screen for an optimal flexibility; Wide range of take-up speed from 10m/min (direct cabling with high twist level) up to 180 m/min (twisting with low twist).

CDDT 30 – A new concept of “Environment friendly” machine.

Fully equipped with motorised spindles; Integration of full air circulation thus saving air conditioning costs; Spindle speed monitoring, individual metering, sliding doors, pneumatic creel, I R I S (Instant and Remote Information Services) as a standard; Yarn tension on-line monitoring, pneumatic super high-speed take-up holder, and remote access as an option; Plug and play with the RITM plant management system: M U S T.

With Wool Touch®, RITM is boosting the Spun yarn effect in combination with or without its “3 PLY” kit for new yarn engineering.

M U S T; Monitoring Unit System for Textile machinery: Production under control

RITM will bring out its complete and comprehensive plant management system, M U S T, already installed at major carpet yarn producers. M U S T enables an overview of process information, production results and quality control data at all levels from the twister and cabler to the weaving looms via, the heat setting machines. M U S T is becoming compatible with RFID technology for tag read/write/printing, hand held computer traceability.

Green initiatives
When we do not recycle goods efficiently, there is a demand for more raw materials, precipitating a pressure on the resources. It is well-known that Europeans discard 5.8 million tonnes of textiles every year, with 75% going to landfill or incineration and only 25% recycled. If the green-conscious west does this,...
Single jersey cotton knit: Finished width prediction by ANN
In cotton yarn knitted fabrics, change of dimension plays role in fabrics and garments at all segments of the production and processing and manufacturer to consumer. Change in width of the cotton knitted single jersey fabric is the dimensional change in...
Rotor Spinning: Influence of opening roller & transport tube parameters
Among the various spinning systems developed to improve productivity, rotor spinning is one commercially established system for coarse to medium counts. Main problem restricting production rate in ring spinning is that spinning and winding...
