  Crochet & needle looms from Needles & Elements

Needles & Elements (I) Pvt Ltd, New Delhi plans to showcase the following machinery at the INDIA-ITME show: Special style lace crochet [Otto] machine, heavy belt/tape making needle loom, high speed crochet lace/elastic machine, computerised braiding machine for crochia laces, roller steam press, bobbin winders for small and large winding, jacquard tape weaving machine [needle loom], special braids machine, pneumatic warping machine and heavy rope knitting machine.

Mr Rajiv Jain, presently the director of Needles & Elements (I) Pvt Ltd started activities in the knitting industry business in 1991 as technician to repair/recondition hand knitting machines. In 1992, he started making spare parts for various kinds of hand knitting machines and automatic flat/circular knitting machines. Later the company started dealing in all kinds of knitting machine needles, which gave a great boost to the growth to the company and a firm standing in the knitting industry. As the time passed, the experience and growth progressed. In 1993 proprietorship company ‘JAIN HOSIERY’ was formed which started dealing in needles & parts for automatic knitting machines.

In 1996, the company started importing needles and machinery from South Korea and later became the dealer of Daehan Knitting Needle Industrial Company Ltd. Then it started venturing into the narrow fabric and fancy yarn industry. In 1998 it became the sole distributor of Taiwan Giu Chun Industrial Co Ltd of Taiwan who is a pioneer in producing machinery for laces, elastics, fancy fabrics and fancy yarns.

In 1999 it became a specialised company to provide machineries for laces, narrow fabrics, elastics and fancy yarns. Then it started dealing in various other textile solutions specifically required by its customers. It also started dealing in rhine stone setting machines, cord braiding machines, sequencing machines, metallic yarns, etc.

Years 2000 and 2001 took the company to new heights. It became the sole agent for Metatex Metallic Yarn Co Ltd of Taiwan in 2002. It supplied machines to companies like Vardhman Spinning Mills, Oswal Woollen Mills, Supreme Yarns Ltd, Dhawan Woollen Mills, Nestler Woollen Mills, etc. In 2003 it became the agent for Sen Huang Machinery Co Ltd, a power flat knitting machine manufacturer from Taiwan. In 2004 it became the sole agent for TECHNISERVICE USA, another fancy yarn machine producer.

Then came the boom of laces and other narrow fabric items in the textile machinery in India and it started dealing in needle looms and lace braiding machines. It became the sole agent of Guangzhou Feihong Electro machinery Science Technology Co Ltd from China in 2005 who are one of the biggest producers of needle looms and computerised lace braiding machines. In 2006 it became the agent for another Chinese fancy yarn machinery producer Suzhou Huilong Textile Machinery Co Ltd, who is a producer of machinery for twisting, texturising, winding, chenille yarn machine and flerry/circular cylinder fancy yarn machine.

By the beginning of 2007 it also has acquired the agency of Uniplet Group, a Czech company who is one of the oldest producers of socks knitting machines. Recently, the company has become the agent of Dongguan Fengshen Knitting Machine C, which produces machinery like raveling, winding, dial linking, hand flats and small twisting machines.
