International Organisation for
Standardisation's (ISO) endeavour to formulate the specification on
Rectangular Sliver Cans started earnestly since the beginning of 21st
century. Spin Can Manufacturing Company (Formerly: Alcan Manufacturing
Company) was represented on the committee of ISO/TC 72/SCI/WGII N 003
standard. Integrated Draw Frame Machine as developed by the renowned textile
machinery maker Trutzschler GmbH & Co KG, Germany, specialist from bale
to sliver processing method and machines is the result of immense R&D,
with the intention to rescue the process time and speed up the production
over the age-old method of filling the sliver in round cans. The
concept of reducing the cards radial diameter of slivers as designed by
Trutzschler in their IDF-R machine has the following advantages towards
cutting-down the units process:
1. It is compact in design, not larger than a Can-changer.
2.Rectangular Cans are filled with higher speed and more bulk weight and
occupy volume capacity faster in comparison to a Round Can with same bulk
density filling.
3. Three-over-three drafting system with sort-term leveling and top-roll
loading.
4. Can changing without standstill of Card and collection in Can magazine. Total
drive system in digitally controlled and is maintenance-free, and many more
CNC applied, such as speed adjustment to card. The introduction of this
IDR_R machine of Trutzschler saves and effects:
a) Process Cuttin
b) Lower number of labour required
c) Reduces space requirement
d) Quality improvement. Sliver Can for
IDF-R need to be rectangular in shape and geometry to make it suitable for
placement underneath the top-loading system. The upward and downward
movements are digitally controlled. Spin
Can together with R&D Department of Trutzschler GmbH & Co KG,
Germany developed the precision Rectangular Cans with many research on
material construction, design for maintenance-free performance. These
Rectangular Cans are in use as an integral component of IDF-R machines
manufactured by Spin Can. Hall 3-ML,
