“The Smart-Switch device allows an optimised use of the applied thermal and electrical energy in AIRO24 and a greater versatility in the executable treatments on each tissue: the drying capacity of the machine is now independent from the strength of flapping, and this is fundamental in the treatment of many different fabrics, especially delicate fabrics”, says Rossano Biancalani, owner of Italy-based Biancalani, a manufacturer and seller of own-designed machines for special finishing of woven and knitted fabric. He spoke to the ITJ in an exclusive intreview. Excerpts:
With over six decades of experience in dyeing machines, how do you rate your success and performance all these years?
Biancalani is an Italian textile machinery producer (for washing, drying, softening, compacting, shrinking processes, etc.) for woven and knitted fabric finishing, of every composition. The company, founded in 1957, owes its success to the attitude to experience all the suggestions that come from customers using Biancalani finishing machines to developing new machines and for technological improvements. This attention to customer needs enables it to satisfy every request.
What was Biancalani’s highlights at ITMA 2015 and how was the response?
In Milan, at ITMA 2015 Biancalani presented two very innovative machines:
AIRO 24 Evo4, fourth evolution of the continuous tumbler machine to soften and dry every type of fabric with important innovations over the previous versions, and
BRIO 24 a continuous drying and active relaxation machine, capable of applying the maximum shrinkage to each type of knitted fabric, which is the evolution of the previous discontinuous BRIO machine.
The success was huge. Our stand welcomed more than a thousand visitors, and the quality of people was very high, with the majority of technical staff and decision makers among them. In fact the result was positive beyond expectations with a number of contracts finalised during the exhibition period.
How has Biancalani been doing in the Indian market? Which are its other strong markets globally?
Among the many visitors to ITMA 2015, we have had many customers from India: the interest of Indian customers is very serious and Biancalani considers it very, very carefully. Over the years the care of this market has been a priority for our company: the great importance of the textile industry in India and the competence of those with whom we come into contact in various Indian companies gives us a continuous stimulus. Besides India, the markets for Biancalani are China, Turkey, South East Asia and America.
Can you give us some of the benefits & advantages of some latest systems like AIRO & BRIO, which have been accepted widely?
Airo 24 Evo4: this new release of the machine has been further implemented and made more attractive for the users by adding new features. One of the most important is the new patented Smart-Switch device. This new device allows an optimised use of the applied thermal and electrical energy in AIRO24 and a greater versatility in the executable treatments on each tissue: the drying capacity of the machine is now independent from the strength of flapping, and this is fundamental in the treatment of many different fabrics, especially delicate fabrics. Brio 24 is a revolutionary continuous system for drying, active relaxation and compaction that achieves excellent shrinkage on all knit structures.
