The Textile Association (India) is organising an international textile conference on “Make in India – Global Vision of Indian Textile Industry” on December 1-2, 2016 at Hotel the Lalit, Mumbai.
This conference will show how the ‘Make in India’ mission is going to help the Indian textile industry and how the global brands are looking to the Indian textile industry. Many State Governments launched their special textile policies, it however did not show any marked results. This is now provided by the Prime Minister’s dream mission ‘Make in India’. Many State Governments have taken initiative and have relaunched policies to promote the textile industry in states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, etc. The textile industry has been one of the focal points of this mission.
Topics to be covered during the conference will include: Central Government and State Government Initiatives, what textile captains think on Make in India? role of financial institutes in the new initiatives, role of fibre & their contribution, textile manufacturing, automation, khadi & handloom, denim, technical textiles, textile processing and its challenges & opportunities, expectations from global & Indian brands, textile parks, skill development in textile industry.
