Two more trumps for NH2 53

Jakob Muller´s NH2 53 2/130 with a 75mm stroke and LAN interface.
With the successful launch of the NH2 53 narrow fabric loom, Jakob Müller AG implemented a complete range of innovations. Moreover, in the strengthened NH2 53 2/130 version, a 75mm heald shaft stroke makes the loom even more impressive. The NH2 53 2/130 can also be programmed via a portable operating device and using LAN, controlled directly from a MÜCAD workstation.

The NH2 53 2/130 is equipped with an ingenious control system that is programmed via wireless data transmission using a portable device. This tool stores all relevant data such as fabric design, speed and weft density, thus allowing the gathering of precise operational statistics. A single portable device can be used to programme several machines and this new version also facilitates programming via MÜCAD. The LAN interface on the machine provides a link to the MÜCAD workstation, which in turn permits the transfer of new orders and patterns to the machine by means of MÜCAD Direct Transfer.

A limited maintenance requirement and reduced spare part needs emanate from the fact that the machine employs fewer mechanical components, and in tandem with an energy requirement of less than 2 kW, these factors serve to cut production costs.

Apart from these innovative aspects of the NH2 53 2/130, the machine naturally incorporates the general advantages of this NH2 series, which is suitable for light- to medium-weight, elastic and non-elastic narrow fabrics with infinite repeat lengths:

  • Patterning possibilities using 16 electronically controlled heald shafts.
  • A 75mm heald shaft stroke = as employed in NF machines.
  • The integration of various weaving systems, which among others employ Z7 and Z9 for the weaving of curtain tapes.
  • Compact design with a high degree of user friendliness for an extensive range of applications.
  • A high level of energy efficiency.

Repeat lengths are practically unlimited, owing to a linear motor driven heald shaft:
  • Maximum pattern length with 15,000 picks.
  • Heald shafts with increased stroke power = an ability to take up higher warp thread forces than was possible with the predecessor NH2 models.
  • The electronic shaft system does not require leaf springs (as opposed to the other NH2 models).
  • An enlarged shed means that HMT and Z weaving systems are possible.
  • The same shaft geometries as those employed in NF machines can be used along with standard NF healds.
  • Shaft strokes can be individually adjusted mechanically.
  • Electronic shaft control facilitates faster weave changes.
  • Mechanical components such as curved disks and pattern chains are no longer required with the result that purchasing, storage and wear-related replacement costs can all be saved.
  • Thread feed, fabric take-off, weaving speed and creep gear are all electronically controlled and infinitely adjustable.
  • Non-slip draught and pressure roller coatings ensure precision fabric take-off.
