Compressed air dryers are a must for pneumatic controlled tools and systems. If the compressed air is not dry there will be corrosion in compressed air pipeline, pneumatic tools and systems which will lead to their malfunctioning. In most cases refrigeration dryer are suitable for 40°C - 45°C ambient temperature. A major problem in compressed air systems is the presence of water, dust particles, oil (oils particles are introduced by lubricated air compressors) and solid contaminants, which can adversely affect air quality.

Refrigeration Dryer is ideal for general instrumentation and controls, where pressure dew point of 3° C - 6° C is considered adequate. Adsorption dryer provides a much lower atmospheric dew point from (-) 20° C to (-) 60° C at a relative compressed air humidity of only 0.1.
Refrigeration dryer operates on the method of cooling the air near to freezing point to remove the moisture and reheating it to approximately 10°C below the incoming compressed air temperature at nominal conditions. It is designed for just the right quality of air at the most economical costs. It has wide instrumentation air where requirement is between 3°C PDP to 6°C PDP. It uses less energy and hence low operating cost. The FDI series air dryers, a packaged self contained unit, and fully automatic produces a steady level of dew point. Its energy saving, low power consumption and easy acceptability ensure proper maintenance. It can be specially designed with optional features such as filter suitable for high pressure application, dryer with bypass line and valve.
