Rieter's order intake grows by 16%

Rieter’s growth in order intake in the Asian countries (excluding China, India and Turkey) was pleasing. The Rieter Group achieved an order intake of CHF 1 051.5 million in the 2017 financial year. This represents an increase of 16 per cent compared to the previous year (+ CHF 146.3 million). Thus, the upturn seen in the first half of 2017 continued. Sales totaled CHF 965.6 million, up 2 per cent on the previous year (2016: CHF 945.0 million). The full annual financial statements and the 2017 Annual Report will be published by Rieter on March 13, 2018.

Van de Wiele Extrusion delivers first BCF Extrusion line to Turkey

In September 2014, Van de Wiele extrusion successfully signed a contract with a Turkish customer to deliver a BCF extrusion line. The line is a mono colour line able to produce polypropylene, polyamide 6 and polyester BCF yarns. The mono colour line is delivered in March 2015. Other orders have been accepted and will be delivered in the near future.

Energy Conservation in textile mills needs to be given top priority now. The textile industry in Pakistan had stepped up a drive since 2009, to save electricity as 42 spinning mills, after their energy audit, are saving up to 10 percent power without any additional cost, with the technical inputs from GTZ, APO etc.
