Odisha to produce textile products worth Rs 223 cr
The Odisha Government has set a target to produce 113.19 lakh sqm of textile and handloom products worth Rs 223 crore in the current fiscal with a jump of nearly 25 per cent from the previous year.
TexMin to market handloom products online
The Textiles Ministry has engaged 21 e-commerce companies so far for online marketing of handloom products. To promote e-marketing of handloom products, a policy framework was designed under which any willing e-commerce platform with good track record can participate in the online marketing, Minister of State for Textiles Ajay Tamta said.

Mumbai is the 1st home of India Handloom products
Dayanand Shetty, Actor, in presence of RM Parmar, Dy Director, Weavers Service Centre, inaugurated the first home of India Handloom branded products at Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India Limited (CCIC), DN Road, Fort, Mumbai. The first “India Handloom Brand” showroom was launched in Delhi in March 2016.
