GoCoop, an online Marketplace established with the objective of providing a platform to weaver and artisan co-operatives and community based enterprises in rural India, has received the 1st National Award for outstanding contribution in the field of ‘Marketing of Handloom Products (e-Commerce)’.
ATDC workshop stresses workers’ skills
With the aim of upgrading knowledge base and skill levels of personnel of the apparel industry along with ATDC faculty resources, the Apparel Training and Design Centre (ATDC), India’s largest vocational training provider for the apparel sector, has organised a two-day long workshop on ‘Apparel Product-Quality Assurance’. The workshop was conducted recently at ATDC Hub Faridabad.

India leads GOTS certification in 2015
The number of facilities certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) kept on growing last year, from 3,663 facilities in 2014 to 3,814 facilities in 2015. GOTS is recognised worldwide as the leading processing standard for textiles made with organic fibres. GOTS certified facilities are now located in 68 (63 in 2014) countries around the world.

ATDC honoured by ASSOCHAM
The Apparel Training & Design Centre (ATDC), one of the largest quality vocational training providers for the apparel industry in India, was awarded ‘Best Vocational Training Provider (VTP) Training 2016’ by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) at an award-cum-summit ’Skilling India’: The Way Forward” on March 15 at a function held in Shangri-La Hotel, New Delhi. The award was conferred by Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Minister, Ministry of Skill Development & Employment, Government of India.
